PASTORAL VISION

Pastor David Kimsey and Bishop David Roberts have a great vision for The Sanctuary of Praise and the place it serves in the community.  Whether it is reaching out to our community through various programs or events, or ministering to members of The Sanctuary of Praise, both Pastor Kimsey and Bishop Roberts seek the leading of the Holy Spirit and guidance of the Word of God.

The vision can best be summed up in what we refer to as the 3 R’s of relationship.

Relationship with God.  (UPREACH)

Relationship with each other.  (INREACH)

Relationship with those who need God.  (OUTREACH)

The passion and heartbeat of The Sanctuary of Praise is to promote growth in each of these relational areas.

Through continued growth in these relational areas we will be able to promote passionate worship, life changing evangelism, uplifting and encouraging ministry and the opportunity to become mature Christians.

SOP has some bold initiatives...

- We have established "Breakthrough Sundays" to help us focus on getting people into the Church.

- We have pared down and simplified our purpose to: "It's not religion, its relationship".

- We have put some measures in place; measures summed up as Leading Spiritual Indicators.

  1. Discovery: Church services with opportunities for worship and service, encouragement to members and to challenge people to repent through proclamation of the Word of God. UPREACH...

  2. Community: Providing care for one another; demonstrating love, unity and accountability. INREACH...

  3. Ministry: Pursuing ministry inside and outside the church through acts of service, sharing the gospel and demonstrating the love of Christ on a regular basis. OUTREACH...
