OUTREACH MINISTRY

We understand that it is Christ who builds the Church through the proclamation of the gospel, and it is He who places people in the Church for the express purpose of constructing a community of light, a family of God, where people can functionally love and serve one another and worship Jesus with the various gifts given by God for the ultimate purpose of transforming the world.  The Church serves the community by becoming missionaries and ambassadors representing the Kingdom everywhere we go.  Not only does the church exist to serve the needs of the members, but also to equip members to effective missionaries in their various spheres of influence.  This is most effectively accomplished by removing any cultural hindrances to the communication of the gospel and practicing hospitality and acts of service in a culturally relevant way.  Every member of The Sanctuary of Praise is encouraged to share the gospel of Christ with others.

NURSING HOME MINISTRY

The Nursing Home Ministry visits local nursing home residents and provides prayer and conversation to the elderly.  Our Sunday School children often participate in visits to the elderly and make gifts for the holidays.

We are glad to be part of this great outreach program; in the book of Revelation we read about an "open door" (Rev. 3:8) and this is indeed a great open door for The Sanctuary of Praise.

Our team members within the Nursing Home Ministry believe that the efforts involved in these activities may pave a way in the near future for bible studies at the bedside of the residents.  And why not?  Them receiving the Holy Ghost right there at their bedside!  Oh what a glorious event to witness!  To God be the Glory!
